Something happened to me last night that 'inspired' me to start this blog. Really I just want to remember what happened and figure this is an easy way to do it. This world is full of unexplainable things and I love exploring and learning about them. I saw a psychic a couple years ago and she blew my mind. Not only did she know things about me that no one else did; she could explain weird things that were happening to me both physically and mentally. One of the things she told me was that I have the ability to astral project. And that I did it a lot but might not realize it. I didn't think too much of it. I'd always had interactive dreams and thought that was that. No big deal.
For the past couple weeks, especially the past couple days, I had been dealing with mild- albeit annoying- insomnia. For no reason that I could figure out. I don't really know what that has to do with this story, but I feel like it's part of the puzzle.
So, last night! I couldn't sleep and decided to try sleeping in the guest room for a change. I couldn't sleep and couldn't sleep. Annoying as fuck. The room was totally dark and quiet. And then something weird started happening. In my head and in my ears I heard this crazy metal ringing. It sounded like a big metal disk spinning like a coin. Getting fast and faster. Helicopter blades, but more metallic. And loud. It hurt and I couldn't figure out where it was coming from. That's when I tried to move. And couldn't. And that's when the panic started. This ringing would not stop and I couldn't move a muscle. In fact, all of my muscles started to tense up and it felt like I was being pinned down by two hundred pounds. Honestly, I thought I was having a seizure.
I felt my left hand begin to lift off the bed. I was trying to move it- but something was pushing down on it it seemed. I remember I lifted my left hand twice and it was hard. Like lifting a car or something. Then my neck kind of seized back, like in a possession movie I assume. It hurt. The ringing in my head hurt. It was all bad. My eyes felt like they rolled back into my head, but I could definitely still see some parts of the room. I tried to keep my eyes open to the best of my ability but could only see for a second at a time. I'm pretty certain I heard someone whisper my name.
This whole time I was trying to scream. My boyfriend was in our bedroom next door, sleeping. I did everything in my power to make noise of any kind. It didn't happen. I couldn't do it. So I stopped trying and started trying to keep myself calm. "You're fine. Wake up. Get up. Open your fucking eyes. ROLL OVER!" Self encouragement has always worked for me and eventually it did this time too. I woke up. Terrified. Beyond terrified. What the hell had just happened?
I ran to the bedroom and stayed awake because I was too scared to sleep. This morning when I got up I did some research and it seems as though I had the beginning of an astral projection. But I made myself stop before I detached. Or whatever you call it. I thought I had a seizure. I thought aliens came and got me. But all signs point to astral projection. A lot of people have similar experiences to mine, plus the psychic told me I did this. The plan now is to research. Figure out how to control this or at least make it less horrifying. I love the unknown, but this was a bad experience. I would never wish this on anyone.
I'll update this as I learn what's going on in my world. I'm trying to embrace what this could mean instead of fearing what it was. Because I feel like something inside of me has been changed. And maybe I can grow in a new way.
